Falling for You blurb:

Newly single Cassidy Quinn is thrilled to be a contestant on the new reality dating show The One. But her excitement turns to horror when the gorgeous bachelor turns out to be her ex-boyfriend. Seeing Brad again makes Cassidy realize she might not be as “over him” as she thought—and then she meets hunky cameraman Evan Burke

After watching his brother lose his wife in a tragic accident, Evan vows never to fall in love. But following Cassidy around as her personal cameraman makes him question his decision, and resisting her gets harder with every sunbathing, bikini-wearing day.

Cassidy and Evan begin a forbidden affair while her ex-boyfriend tries to win her heart back one groping, awkward moment at a time. If Cassidy can manage to stop falling off horses (literally), stop falling onto her ex-boyfriend, the bachelor (yes, literally), and stop falling in love with backstage playboy Evan, she might still make it through the show without becoming a tabloid sensation.

But soon Cassidy must choose between the ex who broke her heart and the cameraman who might never love her back. For Cassidy, this reality show just got real.

Review:

3.5 Stars

Cassidy recently was dumped by her ex-Brad about six months ago. Her sister thought she would sign Cassidy up for a Reality Shot The One (think The Bachelor) and to her surprise she got on. Cassidy is a bit intimidated by the other girls–she feels she is just too plain for the show. She has made one friend on the show–Paige. Each girl is assigned her own camera man and she is lucky enough to get Evan.

Evan is single and is working on The One this summer. Unlike the bachelor on the show, Evan isn’t looking for love. In fact, after seeing the devastation his brother is going through after losing his wife, he doesn’t feel like taking the risk on love is worth it. However, when he sees Cassidy’s picture and then finally meets her there is no denying that he is definitely attracted to her.

Cassidy is so uncomfortable with this whole thing that on the first day of shooting she escapes to the yard to go for a walk but her clumsiness gets the best of her and she falls. Luckily Evan found her and carried her back inside and there, my friends, is where it all begins. Oh, and we haven’t even met the bachelor yet!

She finally gets the opportunity to meet the bachelor after she finishes her first challenge–cooking him her favorite meal. Well she is walking into the dining room and stops in her tracks because the bachelor is her ex-Brad.  She is none too happy about this but continues on with the meal. She is saved from the first round of the competition but now everyone knows they have a history.

Several challenges follow and her attraction for Evan grows and vice versa. They flirt and Evan gets a bit jealous but will either of them act on it?  If they do act on their feelings, will they get caught? How does Brad factor into this? Will spending time with him again reignite old feelings? Or has too much time passed?

Overall I thought the story about Cassidy and Evan was good but just slow moving. It took a long time to get going with this book. I enjoyed when they met in the beginning of the story but then it just slowed and I found myself really struggling to get through. Around the 55% mark it starts to move a bit more and I was getting into it a bit more. The ending felt a bit rushed.

It is a nice story and sweet read.
